Criterion C: Creating the Solution

Dear Students,
As you embark on criterion C, ensure you follow the assessment criteria and go through each strand accordingly.Ensure you have completed the product( a model tuk tuk) using:
1. Your preferred materials.

When creating remember to complete process journal addressing these areas: a)material used, b) place/venue, c)Time, d) Duration, e) Detailed description and ) day. Each day 1, Day 2 ,....
The process journal can be send to me via Dropbox or pasted in workbook.
Remember to use the criteria all the time.

Gantt chart/slippage chart
Gantt chart is a project-management tool used to provide an overview of a process. A Gantt chart divides the manufacture of a product into small tasks. It indicates the time estimated for each of these tasks and theresources required. It does not provide a detailed set of instructions, but instead is an overview to self-assess progress with a project. You should indicate when each task is complete.

slippage chart goes one step further than the Gantt chart in that it has room below each task to mark when it was completed (in green), allowing you to identify when they are behind in their plans and take action to get back on schedule.

The following questions can help you consider your planning.

  • Does your plan contain a sequence of logical steps?
  • Is the use of resources explained clearly?
  • Have you made sure you have enough time to complete your product?
  • Have you given time for practising or learning a new skill?
  • Have you allowed extra time in case something goes wrong?
  • Have you considered alternative ways of creating the solution?
  • Have you planned for testing at appropriate times in the manufacturing process?



    (ii) Demonstrate excellent technical skill when making the solution




    • develop manipulative skills to effectively use a wide range of tools, techniques and equipment
    • use a wide range of tools and equipment proficiently to create high-quality solutions
    • ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others





    • independently follow the plan to produce the solution, which functions as intended
    • manage time effectively to produce the solution to the deadline stated in the plan

    You will demonstrate that the planning process was sufficiently thorough if the final product matches the planning drawing and no changes were made to the plan, in whatever form it was presented. 

    If the drawings/diagrams and the plan match what has been made, then you have followed the plan.

    If you do not follow the plan, it will usually result in the solution not fully meeting the specification and/or matching the design detailed in the drawings/diagrams.

    (iv) Fully justify changes made to the chosen design and plan when making the solution

    By the end of year 4 you should be able to:


    • justify, through the use of drawings/diagrams, any changes made to the design while making the solution and how they affected the plan

    As you implement your plans, you will often come to a point where you will have to modify the plan or the design. You will need to ensure that you detail and justify any changes that you make during the creation process.
    If you do not make any changes to your product or plan, this strand does not have to be addressed with evidence. However, if any changes are made, you must address this strand


    (iv)(a) Present the solution as a whole


    • present the solution in an appropriate format that shows all details of construction

    A digital design product will be presented as either an executable file or readable file.
    A product design outcome will be presented as a set of photographic images, which must show detail and scale.

    Criterion C: Creating the Solution

    - You need to ensure all these strands/objectives are made in your final product.


    nConstruct a plan, which describes the efficient use of time and resources, sufficient for peers to be able to create the solution.

    nDemonstrate excellent technical skills when making the solution.

    nFollow the plan to create the solution, which functions as intended plan.

    nFully justify changes made to the chosen design and plan when making the solution.

    nPresent the solution as a whole, either;

    nA) in electronic form 


    Your Task includes the following;

    - Construct a detailed and logical plan, which describes the efficient use of time and resources, 
    sufficient for peers to be able to follow to create the solution.
    -  Create the product that demonstrates excellent technical skills usage.

     In this stage, there should be clear evidence that the plan is followed,  the final product 
    should meets the design specifications and should be a close as possible to your chosen 
    design, and that the solution functions as intended and is presented appropriately.
     It's expected that a dated process journal is kept with detailed screenshots justifying any 
    improvements in your product development progress. The screenshots will normally show
     how a particular complex techniques are applied before and after.

    2. Reflection

      During the process of creating a tuk tuk in Digital Design. I worked immensely hard to hand in all my assessments on time. When making a tuk tuk I tried hard to make a good tuk tuk. But in my opinion I could have done better because I was in such a rucsh to complete it the week before the deadline. I hope that all my hard work has really paid off. Before I had told myself Azmat were you day dreaming how can you make such a colourful tuk tuk. Mum and Dad will not let me buy so many spray paints just for a cardboard tuk tuk so I tried to use my imagination and used multi-coloured wrapping paper which could cover and make the tuk tuk look nice. I added a television and AC to make my passengers ride much better and comfortable.
      I look forward to creating another tuk tuk later on.

I joined this Digital Design class when my classmates were doing the Logo and Trademark unit and for me continuing and starting this unit was made really simple with the help and support of my class and my teacher, I really enjoyed in the skills which were done within the unit and it was made really easy for me. I loved this unit and in this unit I got my artistic skills as I just left drawing for very long time and started recreating my ideas, that was really good.
        My journey of making a tuk-tuk was having great levels of making it look good and three trials made me satisfied. I lost my first one, then broke my second and made the third. But my favourite part of that was painting it and my scores.
        I loved my practices and it was real amazing.
        Retro design was my favourite unit.

        Digital Design has been my one of the favourite subjects and I really enjoy it and I am really happy that I also get good grades

    4. During this Year of Digital Design, I have learnt a lot of skills and tactics to make a successful product. I have learnt a lot and have acquired a great deal of knowledge. I have learnt a lot of skills stretching from digital designing to planning on making a project. Because of learning all these skills, I have enhanced my designing skills. I have tried to implement these skills in my designs to make them the best they can

      During this year, I have learnt a lot in terms of skills as I have said above. One of them is the skill to plan thoroughly before making a product. This includes how to develop ideas very well by drawing ideas, making specifications to make the design match the clients likings. This helps in creating the product successfully. Another skill I learnt was how to design a product according to how many popular companies have used different technicalities and implementations to get the best out of your logo. For example, During the logo design unit, I had to create a good logo by researching on how different skills are used to create a good and successful logo hence, I used many skills I researched into to make it the best they can.

      The IT skill I enjoyed the most was the planning skills. I liked coming up with many ideas and specifications to make my product. I like experimenting with different implications to make good logos thus making something good. I also liked drawing and using design softwares to enhance my creating skills while still planning well to make a good design. This helped me a lot in the next step which is to create the product and helped me do my best.

      Though I did learn a lot of the skills well there were some area's and aspects of these skills I would like to improve on. One of these is the evaluating part of the Units. I feel like my reflections and how I evaluate what I did is not that detailed and seems quite average. Another thing I want to improve on is making the actual product, especially during this retro design unit. I thought my products were not executed very well and to the best they could be despite having a good design

    5. retro design unit has been a great unit and i was looking forward to it because i like creating stuff and in this unit you had to make a tuktuk model and it was a tough journey making a tuktuk the materials i used to make my tuktuk were as following

      my tuktuk was nice and i got good marks i got a seven and i was happy

    6. Throughout this amazing unit of Tuk-tuk retro design I've learnt various different skills. These skills have contributed to my final piece and have helped me during this long unit. There are several criterion in this unit, these include of A, B, C and D. These constructive skills I'e learnt in this process have impacted widly on my performance.       As said before I learnt and attained several skills from this magnificent unit. Firstly, I learnt more creativity skills. These were when creating the plan and tuk-tuk, to make it look fashionable and attractive. I decided to follow recycling and go out of the box. I used mostly cans to create my tuk-tuk which no one in year 6 did. I was proud of this. Secondly, I learnt how to research and plan effectively so that my product would have a proper structure and plan. I knew how to build different areas of the tuk-tuk considering if it would stay put or be unsteady. Lastly, I attained many communication skills to ask peers for tools in case you forgot some or were in need. Although I learnt all these skills, my favorite one was learning creativity skills. This is because you were free to choose whatever you wanted and however you wanted it to look.

      In this unit I also had a few challenges and improvements. Firstly, when creating and modifying my tuk-tuk on soft-copy, it was very difficult to accomplish. Secondly, when assembling my tuk-tuk, the cans would often be very hard to cut and stick. They wouldn't hold in place or stick properly. I could've also made many improvements. Firstly, I could've made my tuk-tuk bigger so it was more attractive. Secondly, I could've made my tuk-tuk move so that it would've gotten a higher mark and been more creative.

      Next year I believe I will need to focus on different or the same skills which will contribute to my DD learning. These might include of better communication skills, more creativity and probably good collaboration skills. Thank you.

    7. During this unit i have had a wonderful time making and learning different skills including working with wooden materials, sourcing materials needed in order to finish my work and to and to ask for help and advice, making models using digital software's including blender, sketchup and more... I have earned reliable marks that i am proud of but i regret that i should have finished my auto rickshaw earlier so i could get a higher mark (an 8).

      In DD i have learnt and used parts that i have learnt in the previous unit such as making a logo. When focusing on the auto rickshaw i chose wood because i realized that children in lower classes would mess it up and i wouldn't have a really nice model and that will give me lower marks.

      I have understood that i had made challenges and changes i made throughout the unit. My challenges are getting time to cut wood in order to progress in the unit, finding the right tools, finding out what to do if something doesn't work out, time keeping, and planning for everything and my changes were the doors, windows, cars having electrical motors and many more (mentioned the rest in my book)

      I have mostly enjoyed the creating of the auto rickshaw and can't wait to do again next year in year 7. i enjoyed the designing but it took so many weeks to make so next time i hope i spend more time really nicely so i can do a good job and give it in early. Next time i will include more of my creativity so i can get better marks

Through my journey in the subject of digital design I have been experiencing a lot of fun things.In the IT skill part In have learnt many skills such as research skills .I have being using different soft wares which are online this is when I was making my logo.I used the graphic springs to make my logo online.It was so successfully and fun.On the tuk tuk part I used the sketch up software before making the it was so fun and creative .And I also enjoyed using paint to make my tuk tuk as well as my logo.Actually, about my tuktuk it was so nice I enjoyed working while sitting on the mats with my fellow classmates we enjoyed chatting and making jokes together.

    9. during this journey of making my tuk tuk, ireally enjoyed it and i really had fun while making it.in this criterion. in my opinion, i think i got good marks because a 7 can earn me 1st honours but i think i could have done better.

      in this dd class we learnt very many I.T skills that we didnt know. personally, i think and i know that this I.T skills will take me far in the future. this I.T skills are making a logo which can take me very far in future for example if i design a logo for a certain company i will get a lot of income and many companies will ask me if they loved the one i made for a certain company. another one is creating videos online.

      the final one is making a tuk tuk using either wood, cardboard or any material that can be easy to design the auto rickshaw. this can take me far if i want to become an architecture

    12. During the process of this Retro design unit I think I did not apply a lot of IT skills but I applyed what I knew. It was very difficult when doing this work. I tried to make sure my work was presentable and able to be understood by different people. I think next i will work on my time management and submit my model/work on time. And i will also add more modifications next time.

    14. Hi! My name Eshak. In this unit i have learnt a lot. I learnt how to use different apps i have never even heard of, these are go animate, google sketch up and others. I learnt how to use the different apps and now i am perfect. In this unit the best part is creating the storyboard and the final product.

      While researching i Learnt a lot about laminations, logos and retro design. I would like to thank mr Victor him explaining to us and me understanding and doing my work. Thanks to my parents them helping me getting the materials and even them making me understand. Thanks to my peers to, them giving me ideas and helping me hive done good. Because my overall is a 6.

    15. during this wonderful experience to learn many important stuff for example animation, logos and retro design and i personally enjoyed these units especially retro design because i personally like to create vehicles and we got to create a tuk tuk and i think that turned out really well.

      in the unit of animations i had lots of fun because i learnt more research skills and for a change instead of watching peoples animations i made myn and watched it and i felt good because i was creative enough to make my own so in general i felt good

      in the very creative unit which was logo making i felt i was helping and being kind because we were trying to improve peoples logo for them by making new logos and i made one for my dad and he really like it so i think i was helpful and i think it was appealing because i used bright colours and creative designs

      in the retro design unit i had lots of fun because i got to do one of my greatest passions which is making vehicles and i got to make a tuk tuk which is a vehicle and because it turned out really well

I have enjoyed all the 3 units we have done until now. during the first unit which was about animation, was really fun because we had to make an animation about littering in school. one of the IT skills i learnt were research skills because i had to research to get a good animation.The best part i enjoyed was when i was making my animation with my own voice. and trying to make it sound as a boy. i had a hard time in making the animation like the characters, the food and the setting was really hard because the animation i was using had most stuff to pay. But still i worked hard and finally came up with an animation that is now on YOUTUBE.

      Our second unit was logo design. I really had fun. I used my dads company which is called MALI YA MOMBASA. Its a company in town. so i used my dads company to make my logo. my shape was a star. actually i had use an paint instead of an software because i had a hard time in making the logo on a software so i simply did is just used paint which made my logo perfect for me. one of the IT skills i learnt was research skills because of researching about the software and i even enjoyed the IT skills which was research skills even though i had a hard time. Mostly i had fun in making the logo on paint.

      the 3 unit was about retro-design which i enjoyed too. it was mostly about the tuktuk. first when we had to interview people who ride tukuks or own tuktuk's which actually was a hard time but we never did any interview. i was mostly looking forward to making the tuktuk. one day i went to a place called ujain which the name i cant remember and that where i saw this type of Tuktuk . i saw many algav tuktuks and thats where i got the idea of making such a tuktuk. i used card board for my tuktuk. i enjoyed creative skills for my creativity.
      To say the truth i enjoyed animation more and tuktuk then and lastly logo........I REALLY, REALLY HAD FUN IN ALL THE UNITS!!!!!!!!!!

    17. Reflection

      I Criterion A I researched on how rickshaws work especially the electric rickshaws. I enjoyed researching on so many topics. I learned how to summarize work. Next year I want to learned how to understand questions without asking people what the questions mean.

      In Criterion B I learned how to 3-d model with shapes. I enjoyed the 30-d modelling because I had never done it before. Next year I want to learn how to 3-d model without using shapes.

      In Criterion C I learned how to make a 3-d shape with seats, windows and wheels using cardboard. I enjoyed making the model. I want to learn how to create a better shape.

    18. DD subject from 2016 to 2017(year 6) has been an experience and a half. Covering all 3 units; Animation, logo design and last but not least, retro design where we worked or creating a tuk tuk.

      The it skills i learnt were helpful and good; such as, research skills, analytics, communication, organization,and time management.
      i developed my research skills when researching on how to use 3 specific software for all 3 units.(powtoon,paint and tinkercad).Analytics, when analyzing my productions and noting down how i can improve them positively. i developed my communication skills, especially when doing the logo design unit, i learnt how to communicate through logos and the power of convincing. And most of all, time management. I had to stick to the deadlines and finish my work on time. And considering the amount of assignments it is extremely important that i have good time management.

      My expirience in this year was an amazing. I enjoyed working on my video which I made.The other good part was in making the tuk tuk which I bamboozle myself and procastinate .I also enjoyed communicating with others in my dd work.

    20. FINAL REFLECTION PLEASE READ THIS ONE

      The first unit we were doing in digital design was animation and during that unit we had to make an animation about the issue of littering in the compound because students buy break and after that they litter so i made an animation and the skills i learn t were how to put color titles and how to put information on the animation and i got a 6 in the animation unit

      the second unit we did is logo design and in the unit of logo design we had to make a logo for our client and my client was Mr mahesh bhagani and i made him a logo off his company and i had to inter view him on what colors he wants his logo to have what shape he wants his logo to be what font he wants his logo to be in and many more the techniques i learned were how to add perfect color to your logo and how to change the font


      and know we had the unit i had been waiting for so long and that unit was retro design in retro design we had to make a tuk tuk for Mr Abdala and i made my tuktuk out of wood because i thought not many people are making it out of wood and if i make my tuktuk out of wood it would be more stable and strong my tuktuk was red and blue

    21. In DD, we covered 3 units, Animation, Logo Design and Retro design. All the 3 units were fun and I got to learn a lot. For all of the above units, I had to use thinking skills, research skills, organization skills, time-management skills, etc.

      In the animation unit, we had to create an animation video to solve a problem. I used Go-Animate as my software to create the video. I knew how to use the software as I have been using it since junior school. I liked making the video as I learnt so many new things that I didn't know before. For example how you put props, how to put voices, etc. I enjoyed everything about the unit.

      The second unit was Logo Design. We had to create a logo that would solve a client’s issue. My client was Mr. Aly Jamal. I designed a logo for his company which he is currently using. It makes me feel proud that my logo was liked by my client. The software I chose was Graphics Springs. I didn't know how to use it, so it was a challenge for me in the beginning. But once I figured out how to use it, it was very easy. I liked making the logo but the software didn't have a lot options and you couldn't play around with shapes and curves, etc.

      The third unit was Retro Design, where we had to re-design a tuk tuk for Mr Abdallah. I interviewed a tuk tuk driver who gave me some suggestions on how I can make my tuk tuk. First we had to draw the design of the tuk tuk, and then we had to re-draw the tuk tuk on a software and then create a 3D model using a material. My tuk tuk was 4-wheeler, it had a fiber roof, doors and windows, a boot, etc. For my 3D model I used cardboard and my main material. I also used wheels, headlights, boot, side mirrors, etc. I used a motor and battery to make my tuk tuk move, but since my tuk tuk was too heavy, the motor couldn't carry the weight of the tuk tuk. I enjoyed making my tuk tuk because I learnt a lot in the process. In the beginning cutting the cardboard was a challenge for me as I had never cut cardboard with a blade. I also didn’t know how to fix a motor so my dad had to help me. I enjoyed everything but I wished that the tuk tuk was moving because it would have looked cool. Overall, I think that my tuk tuk looks like a real tuk tuk because there were real lights where the headlights were flashing, etc.

      Overall, I really enjoyed my journey throughout the DD class and I can’t wait for DD in year 7 .

    22. Through my journey of Digital Design ,there was a lot of experience and knowledge and fun. It had a lot i got to learn about and and a lot to improve on through this time. I had challenges and good times and i got through all of it. Through this time i acquired various I.T skills that helped me ace through Digital Design and have a good time through it. Through Digital Design i also learned how to use different and complex software like sketch up , Graphic spring and Animaker. Through the 3 units Animation production, Logo design and Retro design i have strengthened my skills and used them for making a successful end product.

      One of the IT skills i have implemented and strengthened through this academic year of DD is research skill. The whole of criterion A is based on this skill and on gathering information. During all of the 3 criterion A's i implemented the research skill effectively and in return of the marks 7, 7 ,8. Criterion A requires us to acquire information based on the unit we are doing and this includes the need of research through this criterion and to make a successful product.Another skill i implemented and strengthened is my designing skills. I have implemented my designing skills through all units and i have really improved. Designing requires skill which is really hard to get and criterion B and C require a lot of it since it is all about developing ideas and creating the product.

      I could improve on my time management skills. I stuck to my deadlines through all the units except Criterion C of Retro Design. I delayed by a few days and because of that i lost one mark and i got 7 which is good but could be better. I could also improve on the creation of my product to make the final product more presentable and attractive.

      I had a lot of fun during my journey through DD. It was my first time and i have a lot of new knowledge that i hope to keep building up. It was a AMAZING Journey and i can't wait for next year. I had my ups and i had my downs both which i plan to improve on. Never Give Up Because Hard Work Always Pays Off.

      like in the first unit i learnt the it skills of reaserch cause we had to reaserch on how animated video can be made and the apps that will be able to use to create the video.

      our next unit was logo making were i developed the skills of researching and inquiring cause had to inquire alot on how logos can be created and how they can be made n the diffrent apps that can be use to make a logo

      after that our next unit was making / designing a tuk tuk and the it skills i had developed were communicstion cause we had to communicate with different tuk tuk driver on diffrent problems they were facing.

      to summarize it up this year has been the cause i need to know how to organize my time for diffrent things to do at diffrent times.

    25. During these units we learnt skills including planning skills, research skills and creating skills. We used creating skills to create our tuk tuk, logo and animation. to find out how to make these things we used primary research which includes interviews, surveys and questionnaires. we also used secondary research which includes magazines, books and leaflets. we used planning skills in criterion B to create the product plan, the gantt chart and specifications.

      out of all the skills i enjoyed the creating skills the most. i enjoyed it the most because it allowed me to express myself though want i created and designed especially in the tuktuk and the animation.

      i wish we could have done more things to do with technology like coding so that we know how different google sites are made and how to make them. it would have also been a good learning experience on how these things on computers like word, excel, power point, Firefox and calculator worked.

During this units i have learnt a lot of IT skills like research skills that helped me in Criterion A when we had to research on different topics like the animation,logo design, and retro design which was to make rickshaws.When i had to research on the different software's we can use to help us in the process of making the animation videos,logo's and lastly our rickshaws.
      We also learnt to use the communication skills in criterion C when we had a choice to interview a person that will help us in our research like i interviewed someone who is called Mlinge who knows how to fix motors and know a lot about rickshaws and he helped me with that.
      We also learnt to use Creating skills in criterion C when we had to
      create our product like in logo design i choose graphic spring as my software and i had to have creating skills to be able to make my logo for my client.

      I enjoyed Exploring all of the skills that i had learnt because they helped me in a way or another and they are also fun and exiting to explore like when i was doing criterion a i was able to find out a lot of information like what different types of logo software's like sketch up,Corel draw,Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.I also enjoyed interviewing people that helped me get more information and lastly i mostly enjoyed creating the product because i felt like i had invented something new.

      I would like to learn more on my communication skills so that i would be able to Interview more people to get more information based on my unit to get a higher mark.

    27. Reflection on dd
      My expirience in this year was an amazing. I enjoyed working on my video which I made.The other good part was in making the tuk tuk which I bamboozle myself and procastinate .I also enjoyed communicating with others in my dd work.
      I enjoyed and loved this work: creating my tuk tuk was the the best part.
      i used carefull material.
      I looking forwad in year seven for making a great technology and making my pd model.i also learnt how to rearch which improved my reaseach skills.which improved my criterion a grades.
      i would like to improve my communication to make a more communicating work.

    28. During my journey in DD i learnt a lot of thing. I learnt how to create a logo. I had never known how to create a logo before. I did lots of interviewing and collecting of data. I also enjoyed creating my tuk tuk. I thought i will never be able to complete my tuk tuk but now i am happy.


      I really liked my final product and i believe i can do better next time i make a tuk tuk again

      I learnt new skills during the journey and i am very happy about that.

    29. This year I have enjoyed DD alot. We have done 3 units, animation production, logo design and retro design. In each unit we have been required to use skills to help us through a unit.

      The skill that I enjoyed using during this year of Digital Design is research. IN every unit we have used research to find out information and be able to apply it to begin to create a solution.

      A skill that i think i need to improve on is my plannning. We used planning to prepare us for the creating. This is importnat because without a proper plan you will struggle to start your work.

      Though this year is my first, I think that it will be my favourite year of DD.

      It was a lot of fun doing the two units. First, I had fun making the logo. Researching on the different logos of different brands. It was kind of hard to me because it was my first time doing such a task. Due to help of some friends I was able to finish my task. I had a hard time researching for the correct site for making my logo. But I enjoyed making a logo using paint because it was easier than i thought it would be. My logo wasn't that good but I was still happy for that I had finished my work.

      In the other unit which was retro design I wasn't much afraid because I knew that it would be a great fun making a tuk tuk. I had a bit of understood on how to do researches for criterion A. the hard time was when I lost my book after finishing criterion B and had to start again from the beginning. I used most of my free time finishing it. It was fun but hard making the tuk tuk. I would always stat making a uk tuk and then start making again after finding out that i did a small mistake. After I finished my tuk tuk i lost it and had to make another. My carelessness made me repeat tasks two times. And next time i would even be careful of where I keep my stuff.

I the beginning of this year i was confused because in my former school there was not subject called dd.Through my journey of Digital Design ,there was a lot of experience and knowledge and fun. It had a lot i got to learn about and and a lot to improve on through this time. I had challenges and good times and i got through all of it. Through this time i acquired various I.T skills that helped me ace through Digital Design and have a good time through it.
      at the beginning i got them doing the unit of creating a logo.the teacher told me to ask my family members about their work and if they wanted a company logo.i ask my family members and i made a logo.for that unit i got a six and i was happy because i tried.
      During this units i have learnt a lot of IT skills like research skills that helped me in Criterion A when we had to research on different topics like the logo design, and retro design which was to make rickshaws.When i had to research on the different software's we can use to help us in the process of making the logo's and lastly our rickshaws.
      We also learnt to use the communication skills in criterion C when we had a choice to interview a person that will help us in our research like i interviewed someone Charo who had a tuk tuk and his tuk tuk also had problems and i wrote down every thing he wanted his tuk tuk to look like.
      the year has been good i made friends and we help each other when one needs help and we also encourage each other in difficulties.I socialize with anyone because it helps me know people much more.

    32. My journey in DD had been spectacular. I've learnt a lot as a person and also a student. During this unit i learnt some IT skills during all of the units. One of the IT skills i learnt is research skills, this IT skills was mostly used in Criterion A. In criterion A we had to do some research related to the unit (e.g In the unit logo design we looked at different logos and also the different logo types.)
      Also I learnt another IT skill which is communication skills. It was used during all the units in Criterion A when we heard to research which is conducting an interview. This was mostly used in the unit Logo Design.
      Digital Design so fun and also incredible especially with Mr Victor. DD has also taught me to have good time management in school and that's good. Also I've been getting good grades like 6,7 and also 8.I would want to improve on research skill so that I can write detailed information/answers.

    33. Add on to my reflection:

      1 of the IT skills I used is research skills. At the beginning of each unit we had to do a lot of research to know all about animation, the different software's, how to use it, main features and the skills you need. For logo design i needed to know main features of logos, the different software's, how to use it and the techniques. For Retro design, i needed to know the different components of a tuk tuk, software's used to re-design a tuk tuk, the skills, and the history of tuk tuks.

      The second skill i used is planning skills. This is where you have put all your ideas on to paper (storyboards). We had to make storyboards showing the process by which will be creating our product. For animation, I had to draw exactly how my animation would look in form of a storyboard. For logo design, I had to draw step by step how my logo would look and the process by which i will make it. For retro design we were allowed to draw the tuk tuk and label the parts or we could do it in form of a storyboard. I drew mine and labeled the parts.

      The third skill I used was designing skills. This is where we had to create the final product. For animation, I created my final product using go-animate. . For logo design i created my logo using graphic springs. For retro design we first had to draw the tuk tuk on a software. the software i chose was blender. Then I had to create the tuk tuk using different materials.

      The next skills I used was critical thinking skills. I had to evaluate each of my products and the feedback I got from my peers in terms of how I did my product. This helped me as I got to know what mistakes I did and how I could improve them.

      Throughout the unit, I was able to use time-management skills very effectively as I submitted all my work on time!

      DD has been a very fun and engaging subject for me, as i did not have such a subject in my former school.
      In this past year we have had 3 units; animation production, logo design and retro design.

      The unit that i have enjoyed the most is retro design. i have enjoyed retro design because after the other two units of animation and logo design, this was finally something new that didn't include computers or other technology, just your creativity.

      But something that i need to improve on is my time management, because some of the work i was given i handed in late.

      But other than that i fell that i have been very successful in DD this year
