Digital Design Orientation Class

- DESIGN, Is an MYP subject that engages students to be inventors, innovators ,designers and manufactures.

Design in MYP is divided into two groups:

1. Digital design.( DD)

2. Product design.(PD)

Digital design uses computers and other technologies to create digital products or solutions to solve a problem/ need in the society.

Design Cycle.

nDigital design uses the design cycle to solve problems around us.

nThe designers use the design cycle to develop the product/solution 

following  the set process.

nThe process is divided into four stages:

1.Inquiring and analysing.

2.Developing ideas.

3.Creating solution/ product.

4.Evaluation.

- This is done by following the design Model shown below.




Think of a problem in the society that you may need to solve using technology;
a) Name the problem
b) Discuss the problem's effects.
c) Who are the affected?
d) what can you to solve the problem?

Ways in which you can use technology to solve the problems; animations, web design, video production, Gaming, Mobile Apps, interactive magazines,  virtual tours, YouTube channels, social media.
