Criterion D Guidelines.
i.                   outline simple, relevant testing methods, which generate data, to measure the success of the solution (create a table to show how you will test the final product on a scale 1-5)

ii.         outline the success of the solution against the design     specification ( use the scale to score each specification 1 to 5 and give comments.)

Criterion C: Creating the Solution.

Criterion C: Creating the Solution

Dear Students,
As you embark on criterion C, ensure you follow the assessment criteria and go through each strand accordingly.Ensure you have completed the product( logo) using:
1. Your preferred materials.

When creating remember to complete process journal addressing these areas: a)material used, b) place/venue, c)Time, d) Duration, e) Detailed description and ) day. Each day 1, Day 2 ,....

The process journal can be send to me via Dropbox or pasted in workbook.
Remember to use the criteria all the time.
Regards
Victor

nConstruct a plan, which describes the efficient use of time and resources, sufficient for peers to be able to create the solution.

nDemonstrate excellent technical skills when making the solution.

nFollow the plan to create the solution, which functions as intended plan.

nFully justify changes made to the chosen design and plan when making the solution.

nPresent the solution as a whole, either;

nA) in electronic form

Your Task includes the following;

- Construct a detailed and logical plan, which describes the efficient use of time and resources,
sufficient for peers to be able to follow to create the solution.
-  Create the product that demonstrates excellent technical skills usage.

In this stage, there should be clear evidence that the plan is followed,  the final product
should meets the design specifications and should be a close as possible to your chosen
design, and that the solution functions as intended and is presented appropriately.
It's expected that a dated process journal is kept with detailed screenshots justifying any
improvements in your product development progress. The screenshots will normally show
how a particular complex techniques are applied before and after.

Process Journal should show the following:

nDate
nDuration
nPlace/Venue
nClear description on each screenshot.

Example of a process Journal

Date: 07/05/18
Duration: 5mins
Place: In class
Description: I signed up my new account with go-animate to get
a functional account that will allow me design my animations.

Criterion C: Creating the solution
0
The student does not reach a standard described by any of the descriptors below.
1 — 2
The student demonstrates minimal technical skills when making the solution, creates the solution, which functions poorly and is presented in an incomplete form.
3 — 4
The student lists the main steps in a plan that contains some details, resulting in peers having difficulty following the plan to create the solution, demonstrates satisfactory technical skills when making the solution, creates the solution, which partially functions and is adequately presented, states one change made to the chosen design or plan when making the solution.
5 — 6
The student lists the steps in a plan, which considers time and resources, resulting in peers being able to follow the plan to create the solution, demonstrates competent technical skills when making the solution, creates the solution, which functions as intended and is presented appropriately, states one change made to the chosen design and plan when making the solution.
7 — 8
The student outlines a plan, which considers the use of resources and time, sufficient for peers to be able to follow to create the solution, demonstrates excellent technical skills when making the solution, follows the plan to create the solution, which functions as intended and is presented appropriately, lists the changes made to the chosen design and plan when making the solution.

Criterion B: DEVELOPING IDEAS ( LOGO)

LOGO DESIGN; CRITERION B

Criterion B: Developing Ideas

In this stage you will;
        i.  develop a list of success criteria for the solution (Design Specification)
ii.   present feasible design ideas, which can be correctly interpreted by others
    iii.   present the chosen design
iv.   Create a planning drawing/diagram which outlines the main details for making the chosen solution.

i. Developing a list of success criteria for the solution
What are the main features (specs) you want to see in your final product (Logo).
List 6 of them.
Examples:

Logo should have an introduction showing the problem situation.
Logo should have four company colors.
Logo should have a text showing.......

ii.  present feasible design ideas, which can be correctly interpreted by others
You will be required to design how you expect your logo to look like. This will include the introduction explaining the problem. Look at the examples below.
Areas to consider:

  • Draw/ sketch 4 designs.
  • Annotate/Text/ explain every content placed on the storyboard.
  • Leave a margin around the designs for easy scan or photocopy.
  • Use black ink / dark pencil that are clear and readable.
  • Show the direction of flow of ideas. use numbers, letters and arrows.
  • Capture all the design specs.

1.

2.

3.

   iii.. present the chosen design.

From the two designs (storyboards/templates) above; ( Write in paragraph form)
·         Which design will you chose for your final animation product?
·         Why did you choose that particular design? Justify
·         What improvements can you make to your chosen design?

iv. Create a planning drawing/diagram which outlines the main details for making the chosen solution.
In this step you will show the steps you will take to complete your task. Use the design specification you mentioned in the first objectives.

Example: Production Plan.
